DMS Digital Monitor

 

The DMS Digital Monitor & Controls System (DSPIC30F6014) unit provides LCD display of process parameters in real time and is suitable for a variety of display and control applications. One example application is the FireBoss liquid-level monitor and scoop controller.

It comes standard with 4 analog/counter inputs, an LCD display, a connection for an external encoder/programming unit, a connection for a remote display and an internal power supply.

The standard unit is supplied in a very compact enclosure with sealed connectors. Optional enclosure styles and expansion boards can be provided to tailor the system for a specific application. Custom enclosures sealed to IP67 can be provided to allow operation in extremely harsh conditions.

Fireboss Application

While the DMS and level probe sensor was designed to be generic in nature so that it can be adapted to various applications, its main use is for the Air Tractor FireBoss. On the FireBoss, the unit monitors the hopper quantity level sensor and controls the scoop functions via digital gauges and level monitoring probes. These units are purchased from and supported by FireBoss.
