Fire Retardant Dispersal System – Gen 1

The Fire Retardant Dispersal System (FRDS) was designed by Victor Trotter while at the now defunct Spectra Technologies in 1991 to go on the Air Tractor 802 aircraft to fill a fire fighting roll. The system was, and still is, the leader in the field, allowing retardant delivery at unsurpassed precision levels. The system uses off the shelf industrial components to deliver a linear flowrate through the bomb bay doors. This translates to even coverage levels of retardant on the ground, giving fire fighters unprecedented accuracy and control when fire fighting.
